The Junior Golf Academy at La Manga Club
As in most sports, learning from a young age multiplies the chances of becoming an accomplished player or even a professional later on.
The three 18-hole courses at
La Manga Club and the quality of the practice facilities are well suited for juniors to train and familiarise themselves with the game. La Manga Club Childrens Golf Academy offers golf tuition courses and golf lessons at
La Manga for both adult and junior golfers.
The Junior Golf La Manga Academy runs from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon all year round, our adult golf academy courses are also suitable for those aged 8 or 9 upwards with a keen interest in golf.
During the Easter and summer holidays, our dedicated Junior Golf Academy is the ideal opportunity for children to have fun, make new friends and learn golfing skills under the supervision of our experienced pros. The duration, content and teaching methods used in these introductory courses are adapted to each age group and to the specific needs of young learners. Junior Golf Academy Courses run from Monday to Friday in the morning, during the Easter and Summer holidays. For children aged 5 to 8 years classes are from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. For those aged 9 to 12 years, from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon.
And, once their skills are up to scratch, Junior golfers aged 17 years and under benefit from a 40% discount on green fees and Par 47 rates.

Over the five days of the Academy course, the golf professionals will take you through all the techniques and tactics of golf, covering the following aspects:
Long Golf Game Clinic - Building up to the Full Swing
The long game is comprehensively covered at the Academy of Golf, giving you the confidence to take your knowledge from the Academy onto the golf course, and encompasses:
• Selecting the right club
• Step-by-step breakdown, including grip, stance, aim and posture, building up to the full swing
• Striking the golf ball
• Demonstrations of common golf mistakes and how to correct them
• The draw and the fade
• Video analysis of your golf swing
The Short Game:
• Chipping onto the green with a range of irons
• Bunker play
• Pitching over hazards
• Practice drills
Introduction to Putting:
• Adjusting the stance for putting
• Reading the greens
• Useful practice drills
